    Hi Guys,
Newly registered but have read some forum posts from here before and have had some great help specially when I was trying to find converters and encoders. Onto my main concern, I have a problem with Avidemux and hopefully you guys can help me. The problem is that when I try to join 2 MP4 files that are h.264, both of them have the same 'Constant Frame Rate' which is 30 but when I join them via Avidemux using append and use Copy for the Video and Output as MP4v2 it becomes 'Variable Frame Rate' which has a minimum of 7FPS and a maximum of 30FPS. The only setting I've changed is the Audio part to be encoded to AAC (lav). Did that setting affect the video somehow?

Let me know what you guys think.

    Thanks!

Sorry for the terribly long reply, I thought my thread wasn't approved or was gone since I haven't seen it after a few hours when I posted it. It does play fine but my main problem is when I upload it on Youtube it doesn't get read as 60FPS because of the Variable FPS thing even though the files I put on Avidemux are constant 60 FPS files. X mark that one the other is a Constant 60 FPS file while the other one that I've run through Avidemux to put my edited Audio becomes a Variable one ranginge from 59FPS to 60FPS. What I don't get is when I combine them it outputted to 20FPS to 60FPS.

Update: Kindly please close this as I managed to make a workaround using Staxrip letting the FPS intact in Constant 60FPS with just a little bit hit on Quality since merging 2 MP4 in Stax becomes MKV which I need to convert to MP4 again.

You say the videos are 30fps, then you merge them, why do you expect YouTube to see them as 60fps?

That does not make any sense. Frame rates do not double by merging two files.

Since I left the thread for quite a long while. I haven't read it again before posting my latest post. I have 2 types of videos the other is 30FPS and the others are 60FPS. They still both have the same problem which is that the Frame Rate becomes from Constant to Variable. Now, I have no qualms when I upload my 30FPS videos that time even though it's on Variable since it'll only output 30FPS still on YouTube. My latest post I did mention "even though the files I put on Avidemux are constant 60 FPS files", the files are constant 60FPS and not combined 60FPS that would only mean that they are 60FPS files each.

Moving on, the problem with Avidemux when I try to use it to Combine/Append as well as put my Edited Audio it makes the Constant FPS 30/60 to a Variable one. Uploading the Variable 30FPS one is no problem but the problem is with my 60FPS videos since I tried uploading one after my #3 post and it didn't become read as 60FPS.

Here is the Media Info for the one I uploaded and has gone through Avidemux since I put my edited Audio in it and then Append since I inserted my Intro to it. The video is set to copy as always.

It can take awhile before YouTube has transcoded all formats and it does the higher frame rates last.

I was weirded out since normally when I upload a 720p 60FPS video, if it's still not finish it only shows up to 480p then later 720p60fps which wasn't the case on my earlier posts so I freaked out and thought YouTube didn't read it as 60fps because it became variable. Good thing I checked again and it's a huge weight off my back to know I wouldn't have to subject my encoded file to another encode.
