  1. Hello

I am having a terrible time trying to make a back up of one of my fav. DVDs.

I have the Dream Theater Metropolis 2000 Scenes From NY DVD.

I want to make a VCD of the "Deleted Tracks" part, it is in the menu of the DVD.

I can copy the regular part w/ Smart Ripper w/o problems, but when I try to copy the other part It stops at 87%, also I believe the DVD uses different audio, it is 192 Mp4? I'm not sure, I just know I tried the program 'Backup DVD" and it would not work because of the audio format.

If anyone has any ideas I would be most grateful.

    thanks!

  2. If you know which VOB files you need, then get Sector Extractor v1.2, that will copy the VOB files without a problem

  3. Thank you very, very much for helping Sefy! I am very thankful.

I think I have it figured out, I do know what VOB files I need so if my current "trial" does not work I will try Sector Extractor v1.2.

It seems even though SmartRipper is stopping at 87% DVD to AVI worked so now I just need to see if TMPGEnc will put it all together! I hope so, but Im perplexed as to why Smart Ripper would stop at 87% and other DVD ripping programs would not even work on it, yet in the end the files seem to be fine???

So long as it works I guess is what really matters!!

Thank you again!! Its not often I get really stuck, but when I do I come here !! Its nice to be able to find help when you need it!!

    Thanks again

  4. Glad to be of assistance if I am.
As for your question, i suggest you check the ASPI layer in your Windows, it might be the cause for ripping problems not being able to access the DVD.

And of course, post here if you are still having problems.
