A bit more information is required. You can see the video, then you might describe the problem a bit more.

And there is no 'one' program or even technique to repair those different videos.

But you can look through our repair programs: https://www.videohelp.com/software/sections/video-repair-fix

  4. Please post a mediainfo report on your file. Do you have quicktime installed? What is the source of this file?

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that this file is either ProRes or Apple Intermediate Codec.

How do you know it's a true MOV file? Where's it from?/What happened to it?

What does a detailed MediaInfo readout say about it?

If it was "recovered" from a corrupted / erased / reformatted HDD you will have to ensure that the affected volume/media has NOT been written to, and that all recovery results get saved as copies to another volume, or you will be wrecking your chances of further recovery. (RULE #1 of all recovery techniques)

The mediainfo program doesn't shows anything at all.

As i tallied you before the mov file is corrupted so even mediainfo it can't open it to see what is the specifications of this file.

Even for non media files, it shows general file stats! Nothing indeed.

What does the first couple hundred bytes look like in a hex editor?

Install a HEX editor and open the file.

Virtualdub has a very basic one under "tools"
