My name is Joaquim and I'm new in this forum. I would like to download the video http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b05xbynm/the-state-opening-of-parliament-27052015 from BBC iPlayer in HD. I'm from Catalonia and I can not see the BBC videos. I have installed a plugin to see them, but I can not download them. How can I dwnload it in HD? Thanks!

youtube-dl (with proxy to skirt geo-restriction) get the rtmp code

after the rtmp protocol is not geo-restricted so you can use rtmpdump without proxy

Don't know if this is the right thread for this. I use Firefox and MediaHint to access the BBC iPlayer on my Sony laptop. Now, I can watch the live BBC stream from the site, but can't access the on demand programs. I've installed the latest Flash Player. I'm not in the UK. Thanks for the suggestions. It looks like if you click on the Watch In HD setting before playing, it works. It's a little slow in buffering, but it does play.

I got the latest version of youtube-dl and RTMPDump and I tried following the instructions using the 62.254.185.165:8080 proxy supplied by biezom but youtube-dl always gives me a failed to respond error. I tried some other free UK proxies but they either also time out or are apparently transparent proxies (even though they are said to be anonymous) because youtube-dl then gives me a geolocation error from bbc.co.uk. So does anyone please have a UK proxy which is currently working for this purpose? Thank you!!!

I also am getting the NetStream.Failed error for any content from rtmp://bbcfmt.fcod.llnwd.net/
If it's from rtmp://iplayertokfs.fplive.net/ it downloads correctly.
Anyone know how to get it to download from rtmp://bbcfmt.fcod.llnwd.net/ without giving the NetStream.Failed error?

rtmp://bbcfmt.fcod.llnwd.net/ georestricted need good proxy (often pays) or vpn covering all traffic, not just web browser (often pays)
