When the movie says subtitles are english, then it says english forced, does that mean they are in the movie or can you cancel them out. Some movies have a seperate file. How would i know that?

Forced means defaulted on. You can turn them off.
Forced Blu-Ray subtitles may be a separate subtitle stream, or embedded in the main subtitles. In the latter case, each embedded entry has a forced flag telling the player to display it.
Dunno of any way to analyze subs short of demuxing them and checking for forced flag with BDSup2Sub.Pull! Bang! Darn!
