    Hello,

    I bought a Blu-ray TV series season, and how to convert it to standard DVD using simple freeware tools? BTW, I will not be watching the standard DVD.

    Why not have that someone else join you and watch it together in fantastic blu-ray?

    You are not converting you are making copies for third parties of licensed material, why would I want to be an active or passive party in that?

    See if avstodvd supports bdmv blu-ray folders. Rip with anydvdhd.

    Or else is probably vso blu-ray to dvd easiest or some dvdfab product...

    And I assume you are ripping for your family members. Then it's okey.

    @newpall
    Why don't we try answering rocky12's question? If you can't do that newpall, shut the hell up.

    @Rocky12
    You can convert Blu-ray to DVD-video using BD Rebuilder. Unfortunately, you will lose the menu when doing this, and with a series, you really need a new menu for the DVD in order to select each episode.

    I would suggest using MakeMKV to decrypt and rip each episode into a separate MKV file. Each episode should show up as a separate title in MakeMKV. Then use AVStoDVD to re-encode to the mpeg2 needed in DVD-video, and make a menu within AVStoDVD so that you can select individual episodes.

    Don't try to put more than 2hrs of running time on a single layer disc. This means you might have to burn two or three discs (or more) to get the entire series. Or you could put 3hrs or so on a double layer DVD (Verbatim brand only).
