When I try to capture DVD's (THAT I OWN) for backup. Only with DVD's I have colored lines across the screen. But with my Satilight and VCR this never happens. Its not my connections either. Do I need a converter or something? I have a Radio Shack Modulator so I can view the DVDs on my old TV. So that converts the format into a viewable picture for my TV. Which is Coxaxile Quility. Soooo any suggestions? Oh Im useing a Apex AD-660-- Which I love!

It's the Apex-660.
I have the same model, with the same problem. Actually, if I record the DVD to a VCR, I sometimes get black/white video only. I'm using a macrovision stripper, so that should not be the problem. When recording in Vdub, it looks like the frame rate is 30 instead of 29.94. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but there is a non-standard output of the Apex-660. -
Ummm I think I might have found the problem. But not sure I really cant tell. But It seems that if i press the P/N Button on the remote and change it to either ntsc instead of multi. Then it fixes it. But I could be wrong.
