  1. Thanks librarien,

When I first installed MKVBatch, the version I'm using is the only version that would work on my system (Windows 7 x64). When I get a chance, I'll make a image of my system and then try the newer version and let you know.

    Thanks again.

    Hi again ryegrass.

FYI, MKVBatch was developed on my old Windows 7 Enterprise x64 system, in Visual Basic 6. Which is probably why it looks so outdated. I don't know why you had trouble running my later version(s).

  3. OK, I had a chance to try installing the new version, and this is the error I received:

I will also try some of the older versions you have listed that are newer than the version I'm currently using. In the interest of full disclosure, my machine is a bit unusual as it's a MAG X670E Tomahawk with an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor running Windows 7 x 64. This hasn't adversely affected any other programs, but I thought you should know.

P.S. The service was on manual, but I started it prior to attempted installation.

    ryegrass:

Hmmm. I have not received that error previously, many others though.

Try this: Install the first version that works for you. Then download the latest version and overwrite the installed program.

In the first version I provided an installer, which should have installed and registered all necessary ancilliary files. The later versions I just provided the program, sans installer. Since all support files stayed the same in my developement I figured I could save time and space.

  5. Unfortunately there aren't any intermediate versions, MKVBatch 1.3.2 is the version I'm using and MKVBatch 2.5.5 won't install whereas all the versions in between are MKVBatchMultiplex which do install but appear to be an entirely different program with an entirely different user interface.
