    So here is my plan:

I have a series of videos that I would like to turn into one file. I just need to be able to cut in certain spots so I don't have to keep hearing the opening/ending credits and make it more of a long movie than a series of episodes.

I have downloaded the SloveigMM AVI Trimmer and the Avidemux programs off of your site. I also have a copy of Adobe Premiere CS 6.0 but it doesn't seem to open the MKV files.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Didn't Solveigmm AVI Trimmer or avidemux work? Open mkv and set start and stop, save as new mkv.

I would first try join mkvs with mkvmergegui, open first mkv and then append the rest. Remember that ALL mkvs must have same video and audio properties. Then cut.

So MKVMERGEGUI will let me put them all into one file. And then I use what other programs to cut out the parts I dont want?

  4. MKVMergeGUI will only append files if they contain the same video and audio using the same encoder settings (for the video) and even then there's no guarantee. If you try and it has problems though it'll offer a warning or error message that usually explains why one file can't be successfully appended to another. If the individual files are likely to match, then yes, I'd definitely try MKVMergeGUI. It also has various splitting options under the Global tab, so it can split as well as append.

Thanks much, I'll give it a shot.
