Audio problem with GOM Player

Whenever I try to play an mkv that has audio encoded with either ac3 or dts, I get a grinding sound or a fuzzy noise. Can anyone tell me what I should fix to get these files to play properly?

Just with gomplayer. It plays aac videos fine, but with ac3 and dts videos I get grinding or fuzzy noises.

Can you see what audio decoder that gom player uses? Like ffdshow, lav filters or built-in decoders? If not then it's crap and you must try reinstall different decoders.

I don't know how.

When you play the video right click in the window and choose Playing File Info. Under Audio Info Decoder it says what it uses.

It's ffdshow audio decoder. But it's an ac3 file so I get a grinding noise. aac files play fine.

Disable/Uninstall ffdshow and install ac3 filter or lavfilters.

My guess was the player/filter combination didn't account for variations in endianness in those formats.

I also have that similar problem. But the solution you gave didn't solve my problem. Still I have fuzzy sound when I play the video. But I have problem with AAC sound. Here is the Playback Info

Do you know how to fix that too?
