Colorimetry mismatch (Rec.709 vs Rec.601).
Do you use hardware acceleration or HTML5? -
not that i know of. How can i find out if i use hardware acceleration or HTML5?
-
HTML5: https://www.youtube.com/html5?hl=de&gl=GB
Hardware acceleration: right click on any video on YouTube and select settings. Uncheck hardware acceleration and see if it makes a difference (refresh, F5).
However, it's quite possible the problem lies within your uploaded video. If it does not use Rec.709 color coefficients it's most likely not showing with correct colors on YouTube because YouTube is quite dumb in this regard. -

Engineers in their infinite wisdom found it necessary to invent yet another completely unnecessary color space when HD came along. Now the confusion is total, engineers not bothering to read flags and making up on the spot "rules" for HD versus SD assumptions.
A mess, in short, and one that could have been completely avoided and is still avoidable if engineers would actually do their work.
But, without further ado, give us a mediainfoxp for the video you uploaded.

Another "ass-tute" Sour Grapes + Deflect-By-Insult pronouncement; yet one that doesn't understand the vital role that standardized color coding plays in promoting and maintaining consistency of experience with technologically imperfect displays (past, present, and foreseeable future).
I am confident in asserting that the fault of rec601/709/2020/etc lies in their misuse by producers, programmers & consumers who, like you it seems, aren't clear about color science (witness the necessity of this thread). The "recs" are completely necessary AND they really aren't color spaces, but more rightly called "color transforms".
