I have raw binary file, and I know it was encoded using G729.1 encoder. Now I have to decode it back but couldnt find any tools or help.
Its not only converting in wav or mp3, I need to decode it first. ANy help appreciated.

  2. ffmpeg lists a decoder for g729. I don't know if it will work for G729.1

Decoding it will give you uncompressed PCM WAV. That's what decoding (decompressing) audio does

That be via RTP ... wireshark capture ... if so, this explains converting rtp packets including audio to .au format (playable in web browsers)
