    Hi guys,

Do you have any suggestions for a simple (preferably) free mpeg-4 (h264 - MPEG-4 AVC) batch time-based splitting tool for Windows? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

    Batch time based? How?

You can make your own bat script with ffmpeg to cut h264.

Thanks guys! Sorry I wasn't clear enough, I meant splitting into equal time intervals (e.g. the time interval is 15 minutes and the clip is 1hour long, so split it into 4 segments per 15 minutes). Do you have any recommended frontends for what I am trying to do? I've seen, there is a bunch of them. Cheers again for your help!

EDIT: Nevermind, created a trivial batch file (will improve it as I go):

    for %%a in ("*.mkv") do ffmpeg -v quiet -y -i "%%a" -vcodec copy -acodec copy -ss 00:00:00 -t 00:15:00 -sn "split\%%~na01.mkv" -vcodec copy -acodec copy -ss 00:15:00 -t 00:15:00 -sn "split\%%~na02.mkv" -vcodec copy -acodec copy -ss 00:30:00 -t 00:15:00 -sn "split\%%~na03.mkv" -vcodec copy -acodec copy -ss 00:45:00 -t 00:15:00 -sn "split\%%~na04.mkv" -vcodec copy -acodec copy -ss 01:00:00 -t 00:15:00 -sn "split\%%~na05.mkv" -vcodec copy -acodec copy -ss 01:15:00 -t 00:15:00 -sn "split\%%~na06.mkv" -vcodec copy -acodec copy -ss 01:30:00 -t 00:15:00 -sn "split\%%~na07.mkv" -vcodec copy -acodec copy -ss 01:45:00 -t 00:15:00 -sn "split\%%~na08.mkv" -vcodec copy -acodec copy -ss 02:00:00 -t 00:15:00 -sn "split\%%~na09.mkv" -vcodec copy -acodec copy -ss 02:15:00 -t 00:15:00 -sn "split\%%~na10.mkv" -vcodec copy -acodec copy -ss 02:30:00 -t 00:15:00 -sn "split\%%~na11.mkv" -vcodec copy -acodec copy -ss 02:45:00 -t 00:15:00 -sn "split\%%~na12.mkv"
Cheers for your help! Much appreciated
