Hello!
In the first 10 seconds of this video (.mp4), a photo is shown of the departed, but the name was misspelled by the guy who put the video together (It's Gironda, not Girdona) . I was trying to see if I could fix it for my mother, but am not too video editting friendly. If any knows how to, or can edit this for me, that would be wonderful. It's only the first 10 seconds or so and it says the misspelled name with a slight frame animation.
I have attached a photo to show what need to be changed.
Let me know! Trying to get this resolved quickly!
THANKS!

Send in that whole section. We need to see the animation.
I believe the "handwriting" to be a computer font. The letters are exactly the same and in an exact straight line. Not written by hand.
Sure, you could recreate that section, but if you can't find out the font used, it may not match other text in the video. I can try and transpose the mispelled letters. I'll get back...Last edited by budwzr; 2nd May 2015 at 10:20.

Hey, I actually took a screenshot and edited a picture so that it looks correct, now all I need to do is replace it in the video and make sure the music is there as well.

Two thoughts:
1. If it was the guy that originally made the video that made the mistake, it's his responsibility to fix it -- quickly.
2. Does this image hold static or does it move? As Budwzr says, we need to see the context. -
Typically what is done is that section would be motion tracked so you "cover up" the name on all the frames where it is affected
What you would normally do is find a frame with the entire postcard displayed, then edit that (but if it's only a few letters in the name, the entire postcard isn't necessary - it just helps with certain types of motion if you are doing motion tracking to have more data of a flat surface)
If the animation is simple, or the postcard doesn't move much, you could even do it by hand with masks and keyframing
That's a very good point -
Did you notice the paper has several watermarks on it? That's kind of cheesy. Looks like that card was printed on an inkjet printer, then photographed or scanned.

Hey, I got it all figured out guys. Thanks. Would delete the post but not sure how.

It would be better to say how you fixed your issue so others can read about it.

Yeah, I see your point. The original guy would have the original media and be able to fix it easily.
I like that font. Nice choice. Doesn't look all "computerish". -

If it's a slide show video then it would be super easy to fix it.

I certainly can understand, funerals are sensitive matters and if this is solved it seems to me that a requested thread deletion is not unreasonable. After all who wants to see an image of dear deceased friend with a wrongly spelled name showing up in Google images.
I would advice you to request it from an administrator using the normal channels.Last edited by newpball; 1st May 2015 at 20:27.

Threads are (usually) not deleted, for the simple reason that future users may find they need the information revealed here.

Just delete the stills. Then it;s all pretty much generic. I deleted my still.
