Newbie question: Is there a video editing technique to eliminate all but one color? I'm looking for the opposite of blue-screen: instead of making one color transparent I want to make all *but* one color transparent. And, is there a video editing software that is particularly good a this? Thanks.

  2. It's actually the same technique, you just reverse the matte. After Effects is excellent, all versions of Vegas Movie Studio (including the cheapest) have a half-decent color keyer. All versions of Premiere (including the cheapest) have excellent to decent keyers. You can do it in Avisynth and Aviutl for free with a little more effort.

Try the Secondary Color Corrector. I'm assuming you want the single color to show, and everything else goes grayscale.

If you want everything else to be transparent, then the Chroma keyer would be better.

This can get complicated, requiring a garbage mask. Depending on the need. Can you send in a still?
