  1. I've been delving further and further into downloading streaming videos, but I'm still a bit lost. I've looked at tutorials on writing commands for rtmpdump, but I'm lost. I'm pretty much codes/commands stupid.

    I have this:
    Code:
    http://eqa206pehq.eq.webcdn.stream.ne.jp/www50/eqa206pehq/jmc_pub/jmc_swf/player/player_1_15_0/StrobeMediaPlayback.swf?src=rtmpe://eqa206pehq.eq.fmsod.stream.ne.jp/eqa206pehq/_definst_/mp4:jmc_fms/00001/94025f88545b4c7da9e12a36e2c6e195_426.mp4&highQualityThreshold=8192&controlBarMode=none&streamType=recorded&controlBarAutoHide=false&playButtonOverlay=false&bufferingOverlay=false&bufferTime=5&autoRewind=false&autoDynamicStreamSwitch=false&plugin_JstCdnPlugin=http://eqa206pehq.eq.webcdn.stream.ne.jp/www50/eqa206pehq/jmc_pub/jmc_swf/player/player_1_15_0/JstCdnPlugin.swf&null&autoPlay=true
Is that all I need to write an rtmpdump command? If so, how do I go about writing it? What parts go where? If not, what else am I missing and how do I find it? I'd like to learn so I can write commands on my own someday.

Thanks for the reply, but when I tried this it said "Failed to open file!" and had the file name... Any ideas?

Tried this too, but it said "Failed to open output: video.ts ([Errno 13] Permission denied: 'video.ts'"
Could it have been something I did when using livestreamer?

Hoping to grab this for a friend.

i think it's just that you don't have permission to write in your folder
    change it before run livestreamer
    maybe
    Code:
     cd "C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSER"

  6. Hi nobodyhome ,

    _ Create a directory 'C:\Try'

_ In it put the file rtmpdump.exe
_ In it put your batch file ( see below ) :

    @echo on
    rtmpdump -r rtmpe://... -o eqa206pehq.flv
    pause
    :end

    _ Launch the batch file

    => RESULT (?) .

    Cheers .

I don't know what it all means, but it gave me:

    Code:
ERROR: RTMP URL: No :// in url!
WARNING: Couldn't parse the specific url (rtmpdump)!
    Connecting ...
WARNING: HandShake: Type mismatch: client sent 6, server answered 8
    INFO: Connected...
    ERROR: rtmp server sent error
    ERROR: rtmp server requested close

I changed the directory like you said and it worked!
May I ask how you get the hls part of the livestreamer command? When I tried loading the video in my browser and opening blockable items in Adblock nothing matched m3u8 in the blockable list. I tried following a few tutorials for livestreamer, but kept hitting walls. I'm very command-line stupid, but I'm determined to learn.

Thank you for helping me with all of this.

  8. https://ssl-cache.stream.ne.jp/www50/eqa206pehq/jmc_pub/jmc_meta/99.jsonp?&undefined

    you have some links

"movie_url":"rtmpe:......." maybe you need a token and maybe dynamic and encrypted token >> hard to find
"movie_list_pd" >> these links don't work for me "pd" = password??? private download ?????
    "movie_url_mobile" works but lower quality

maybe if you post original url where you watch the video i can learn more
