I use 4Shared to upload and host my videos, then it gives me a video embedd code to put in my blog. It works fine and I am very pleased with it for being free, however I'd like to have a backup sercice, just like 4 shared. I've looked everywhere, but can't find anything close. My paramenters with 4Shared are 15 GB's per account and no larger than a 2GB upload.

Tried it...It has size limitations, unless you've been granted that special deal where you can upload full videos, and even then, they have taken away many of my videos because apparently there were copywrite violations, which freaked me out. I mean I went out of my way to be carefull about that stuff, but I just can't see how they can pull something and give you a warning when it's a homemade video about astonomy There were also other homemade astonomy videos on other sites and they never pulled them. No way with YouTube

  6. Based on the question you asked and the information you supplied, I would give the same advice as the others. Is there something we're not understanding?

For that matter, if you're pleased with 4share, why not just open a second "backup" account?

Well the content ID is not flawless, you can always challenge it and if you they get issued a DMCA takedown you can challenge that as well.

All other video sharing sites have to do diligence in either keeping copyrighted material off or make monetization deals with the rights holders. In fact YouTube is better in that respect than many other sites.

Not anymore. They were just used kind of as temporary teaching aides. I will be doing more of them down the road, but I'm hesitant to use YouTube. I should mention I was also using DivShare for awhile, which is a great service. I even had the premium plan, then all of a sudden, after I embedded their video codes, the vidoes would start, but then just free off and on, sometimes for the whole duration of the video, so in other words, I can't can't on them being relaible anymore
