    i made a divx into a vcd. now i want to get portions of that vcd as clips. when i used tmpg to cut out what i want the cutting is successful however i lose the audio completely. can any help or suggest any progs that will do the same job and that doesnt have a frame or time limit??

    Try MyFlix 3.0.6, fast, frame-accurate cutter/joiner, much better that TMPEGenc for cutting and joining MPEGs.
    Demo version is time limited but I'm sure you will manage...
