Every video I upload shows this "The video you uploaded may have audio/video sync issues" etc. during upload. They never have a problem. Anyone know what triggers this?

They like CBR audio, too. I used to get that message also, although there were never any problems with the audio.

I'll have to look again, my default is to always choose constant framerate.

  10. Even if you select constant frame rate when creating MP4 files in Handbrake you will get a variable frame rate file when encoding 23.976, 29.97 or 59.94 fps video. That's because MP4 uses time codes of 1/90000 second duration and those frame rates can't be perfectly represented with that with integers. For example, a 60000/1001 (59.94) fps video should have each frame displalyed for 1501.5/90000 seconds. Handbrake will encode that as VFR alternating between 1501/90000 and 1502/90000 -- averaging to 1501.5/90000 or 1001/60000 seconds per frame.

If you want constant frame rate encode as MKV. Then, if you must have MP4, remux to MP4.

All this fractional framerate zoo is resolved by playing these videos at integer framerates 24, 30, 60 etc and audio time stretching at encoding (or even real) time.

    Perhaps in another decade....

Is this a Handbrake peculiarity because after using RipBot264 to make MP4s I get:

I did notice it's saying the audio is VBR also although, as far as I know, it's not.
