    Perhaps with foobar2000 + foo_input_sacd.

Thanks - yes I've got that. With the plug-in it allows you to PLAY the files, but I haven't found a way to extract the files to my computer.

You need to do some SERIOUS reading:

    Assuming the worst-case scenario:
if you can play the stuff, then surely you can record it

I *suppose* foobar2000 (or the SACD plugin) would not create an exception for SACD-content,
i.e., by not letting the user call the context-menu entry named "Convert"

I don't have any SACD .isos to test, so I cannot give a good answer to the doubt above

You can open .ISO archives with WinRAR or 7-Zip — if I have finally understood what you said, I mean ^.^

UPDATE: just for learning purposes, I found and downloaded (&& tested && deleted) a "small" (1.6GB) SACD .iso file.
Neither WinRAR nor 7-Zip are able to open the archive, which probably/apparently is encrypted.
FWIW, foo_input_sacd worked as it should.

Conclusion: it looks like you'll have to use the so-called "SACD Extract" utility:

    Code:
SACD Extract (available on Windows, Linux, OS X) allows you to extract
individual tracks from ISO files when operated in file mode or from the SACD
Ripper when operated in Daemon mode.

The following options are available for the sacd_extract commandline tool:

    Usage: sacd_extract [options] [outfile]
-2, --2ch-tracks : Export two channel tracks (default)
      -m, --mch-tracks : Export multi-channel tracks
-e, --output-dsdiff-em : output as Philips DSDIFF (Edit Master) file
-p, --output-dsdiff : output as Philips DSDIFF file
-s, --output-dsf : output as Sony DSF file
      -I, --output-iso : output as RAW ISO
      -c, --convert-dst : convert DST to DSD
      -C, --export-cue : Export a CUE Sheet
-i, --input[=FILE] : set source and determine if "iso" image,
                                        device or server (ex. -i192.168.1.10:2002)
-P, --print : display disc and track information
    source: http://sacd-ripper.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/readme

    Good-luck with that.

That's extremely helpful, many thanks. Something to get my teeth into.
