    hey guys
how do i move a selection frame by frame, on the timeline?
i need to adjust audio to video and it needs to be done frame by frame, but at the same time, while zomed out, as zooming in i can't realy understand the audio waves to make the sync, however that makes sense. regards

    Couple of ways:

    1. Select clip, cut, move timeline cursor (+ or - # of frames), paste
    2. Shift large scale, zoom in a little, shifter smaller scale, zoom in some more, repeat until exact
    3. Place marker at point of interest, insert or snap shift
    4. Razor edit at point of interest, move, re-expand to full clip
    5. Do the math & shift by ##:##:##:## (timecode/frames)
Probably a few more I can't think of at the moment...

There are keyboard shortcuts for those sorts of things (I've got mine mapped to my Jog/Shuttle wheel, so I don't even have to think about it any more).

    yeah i haven't found a keyboard shorcut
and yeah your techniques are cool and all
    1. pasting at timeline cursor pastes at point in the middle of the video which i can do the sync
    2. i really dont understand what you said there
    3. point of interst is a frame somewhere in the middle of the video. i need to run audio and video to see if synced up
    4. again, frame by frame, only can check if synced by playing both together
    5. math, no...frame by frame, again, need to play to figure out where point is.

im sure i can manage using any of the manual methods there are,
but i was hoping for a simple ctrl+arrow shorcut
so i can keep the timeline cursor in the middle of the audio, play, check sync, stop, adjust, play, check sync

    Shortcuts for event moving :
    (Backward - Forward)
    NumPad 1 - 3 : more precise
    NumPad 4 - 6 : less precise

Number of frames depends of Timeline Zoom Level.
