Hi, i am using windows 7 dell XPS 15. It used to detect wireless connections with no problem in the past but now it does not work anymore. The last time i connected the laptop to a wireless connection was 2 years ago. Other devices connect to the modem perfectly except this laptop! I think it has something to do with the settings, maybe. Take a look at the picture i attached.Image

DO you see your network card under View network connections? Go to the start menu and search for view network connections to bring it up.

Most likely an update for win 7 for the wireless lan card (driver) has found its way into the system ... most users wouldn't recognize the issue till it happens.

Go to intels support website and download the driver package meant for the wireless lan card (do not go to dell support), install, reboot, should solve the problem.

  4. Or maybe you just accidentally turned wi fi off, on your laptop. Check the fn function key setup for turning it on and check that your switch is on also. Once I accidentally hit the FN and F2 key and lost my wi fi.

  8. That's what "The List" is for.

Such people no longer get their questions answered from me.

The behavior is rude, obnoxious, and really, really pisses me off.

Most of the time it is because they did something stupid and don't want to admit it. Instead they make a total waste of everyone else's time, effort, and energy.
