[SOLVED] Making sense of multiple streams in MKV file

Hello

I downloaded a movie that has multiple streams, and attached a screenshot of the different streams it contains.

I'd like to simply keep the video + audio + English subtitle: Can ffmpeg do this?

Also, what does "SDH" mean in stream #4? How does it differ from the other English subtitle stream (#3)?

SDH is the DVD industry's term for "Subtitles for the deaf or hard-of-hearing", i.e. the subs should contain descriptive lines like "Eerie music playing..", "Thunder" or "Sound of approaching train".

If you load a legally acquired MKV in MKVToolnix , you can choose whatever streams you wish to keep and remux the file. I haven't used ffmpeg for that purpose myself, but I'm quite sure that specifying the streams to keep on a command line could be a lot more prone to errors.
