  2. Demux the DVD (if it's a real DVD) with PGCDemux. Reauthor with Muxman, leaving out the language you don't want. Add it back to the original DVD using PGCEdit.

If all you really have is a VOB (why?), then demux (DGIndex is one way (File->Save Project and Demux Video)). Remux with Muxman to make a DVD or Imago MPEG-Muxer to make an MPG, leaving out the language you don't want.

  4. Vobedit has a 'Demux' button in the bottom center to separate out the audio and video files. And it has a Remux M2V button in the Edit area. This is nothing you couldn't have figured out for yourself.

It's quite old and the programs I mentioned will do these things quite easily.

  8. You should have deselected the language you don't need when you ripped the DVD. You can still easily take care of it with DVDshrink/Recode, it just means adding one extra step to the process.

He doesn't have the DVD, just a VOB. He has to demux first. But, as you say, it's still quite easy, although it may be beyond this person's limited abilities.
