  1. I want to know how to edit a video like this one:

    I was wondering how to make the hands flash those different colors?

  2. The actual flashing colors is the "easy" part; limiting it to the hands or an area of interest is the difficult part.

    Likely, they shot it with a single color paint, then color keyed it to isolate the area , then applied the other colors (e.g. rotate hue, colorama like effect in after effects) .

    But it's not necessary to shoot it like that - it can all be done in post; but it's just much faster and easier to use paint during shooting. If you were doing it exclusively in post, you need to rotoscope out the hands or area of interest , which can be tedious work

    Yeah, exactly. Like a green screen on the hands. For different variations they probably used garbage masks and composited the tracks. Nice technique. I like it.
