    I'm trying to convert some MPEG-TS videos (downloaded with livestreamer) to MKV containers using the mkvmerge tool, but for some reason I'm getting a delay. The original files play fine with no delay. Is it a common problem? and how to fix it without using the delay option in mkvmerge? thank you

    I would use ProjectX to demux and then load the separate video and audio streams into mkvmergegui and see how that goes... ProjectX may well fix any errors in the TS file as long as you use Demux mode.

    I'm not sure if ProjectX can help here, it don't support AVC.

    @PlayT0T

    I've very good experience with gdsmux for muxing AVC TS into mkv, that's also what StaxRip does by default because there are only very few tools that can handle AVC TS directly and do it well.

    ProjectX requires Java to be installed which I don't like, so I didn't try it .... Instead, I used tsMuxeR to demux the MPEG-TS files .. after that I used mkvmerge to remux into mkv containers and it worked perfectly! no more audio delay. I also had issues with some MP4 not long time ago but after trying this method today they're working fine now.

    @netmask56 thank you for suggesting the demux thing as a first step before remuxing, it solved the issue
    @stax76 thank you for other suggestions
