Hi, I have fairly come many times that when i try to skip a video in the VLC or in any other Video player then video freeze and stop playing and have to restart the player to play the video again and have to watch it without skipping otherwise video stuck again. But video do not freeze if i do not skip it and play perfectly if do not skip it. I am sure most of people have come across such videos.
So, My question is what problem with those videos?
Is that because of bad frames? or anything else?
Whatever reason is freezing video when we skip it. Can i create such video which freeze if anyone try to skip the video or can i do anything with video that video freeze completely at the certain point.
Thanks

Could be many things.
How is the video indexed
Is it properly indexed at all
How fast is the disk to get the required data
How much work does the player need to do to reconstruct the requested frame.
Can it even reconstruct or does it have to go back to disk and is perhaps that "feature" even implemented?

I have i5 processor with 8 GB ram so speed should not be an issue. Those kind of video stuck in every computer if skiped and i want to know why they stuck and how to create such video.

If the problem occurs in multiple media players/computers, then the issue is the files. As noted above, they are either not indexed, indexed improperly, large file sizes are involved, or a combination of the above.
