Resizing with Avidemux

Hi there,

If I want to change of the display size of a video file with Avidemux what's the best way of doing it with maintaining as much video quality as possible?

I've found how to change size under Video Filter Manager but are there any other settings I should be selecting?

The display resolution of the file is 1920 / 1058

I want to change the display size from 1920 / 1040 to 720 / 400.

Not sure how to find out if its interlaced.

You can use whatever fancy method you want but the fact remains that you are basically degrading the quality of your video by at least 86%. So the method is pretty irrelevant, as relevant as shifting the desk chairs on the Titanic.
