Last weekend I upgraded to the new MMC7.6 software for my 32Meg ATI AIW AGP card. I had been capturing 2Mbps VBR 320x240 MPEG1 using Stinkys GUI & MMC7.1 with great results; however, with the new MMC7.6 software using Stinkys program for MMC7.6, after about 10 seconds the frame drop rate increases to very a high percentage. I have read that the old MMC software must be removed and the new MMC software installed in just the right order.
My system is an ASUS A7V133 1.1G Athlon with 3-256MB memory sticks running W2K. NOTE: I also used the End-It-All app to kill non-needed apps during the capture.
Has anyone else had a similar problem after upgrading from MMC7.1 to MMC7.6? Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to upgrade from MMC7.1 to MMC7.6 or how to remove the MMC7.6 software and re-install it??
Thanks Much

Have you looked at the guide in the how to section? How to capture with ATI AIW . It tells you hot uninstall and how to reinstall in the right order. It has worked for me.

The complete guide on how to remove all ATi stuff at:
http://www.pcphotovideo.com/ati.htm
then reinstall everything you want,
to avoid ATi software and driver problems, the installation must be done clean! or after a complete removal of old drivers and mmc.
ATi has separated the wdm and video drivers, as they say: first install the latest wdm then the newest video driver and restart your pc and install mmc 7.6(not the one from ATi site).
