I noticed that after installing VP5.1, my MPEG2 playback was totally out of synch in Windows Media Player. I took a look at the codecs being used by selecting properties for the item, and it had 'unknown' for both Audio and Video codecs.
I re-registered the ULEAD codecs under my Program Files\Common\Ulead folder, and I got rid of the synch problems.
Thought I'd mention it, in case anyone else had a similar problem...

marsmayhem,
Let me add some of my problems to that list.
After I installed Roxio VideoPack 5, did my PowerDVD and SmartRipper no longer work. Thru Windows Explorer could I still see the DVD and all the files on there and copy them around, but work as a DVD player was over. It also affected another Roxio program, my EZCD5 which could now no longer see the CDRW drive
The Roxio VideoPack 5 program did not seem to work very well either, so that went out the door at the end of the day. Un-install, clean up with regedit and re-install PowerDVD, then it was all working again and I was happy again

Version 5.1 is supposed to fix quite a few things. In fact, the upgrade requires an uninstall of 5.0, indicating a major upgrade. Perhaps that might fix some of those CDRW problems. Perhaps not...
I'm trying out Ulead's DVD Workshop. A nicer front-end, I must say. I just can't seem to make the "Next" button behave the way it should./\/\ars /\/\ayhem
