Problem: audio is out of sync by some 3-4 secs, pretty much a constant through the movie. I used dvd2svcd, which i've used with no probs before. I tried dup-dvd but the audio was still out of sync. With dvdx it came up with an error saying that sometimes at the beginning of movies or the end that the audio was fuxored. Anyways it didn't have any audio.

So I've got all the files made by dvd2svcd, I should be able to rejoin/mux the audio and video...........right. Just have to figure out how to do this and compensate for that synch difference.
Please detail the steps needed. I've had no luck doing svcds manually, so.........;)
    thx

  2. I was converting a divx movie to svcd and the audio was in AC3 so i had to encode it seperately. I ran into the same type of problem. Audio was out of sync. This was mainly because I encoded audio and video seperately. (I also discovered that TMPGEnc does poor audio encoding.)

Anyways... If you have the audio and video seperated, use besweet to re-encode the audio and to set a delay on the audio as well. I just kept re-encoding the audio and re-muxing the files together to see if i came closer to a result. Then I would study certain things like people clapping or doors shutting for synchronization.

Let me know if this helps.

thx xeromark for that suggestion. Umm........ besweet seems to be a line command app. Could you please give me an example of doing this especially on how to implement the delay.

    thx
