I've got a problem with some Dvd's, I can't play them because they have the wrong regional code. I found some information about cracking the code, but it didn't work. I found something för my model in VideoHelp as well, but that link didn't work anymore.
So, does anyone know how to crack the regional code for a LG HT552TH?
(stupid thing, theese codes...)

If there was a hack and it doesn't work now, then either your player has updated firmware that breaks the hack permanently (this happens all the time) or the hack only works on models sold in other parts of the world, like Australia. There probably is no way now to make it work any more. You could maybe look for older firmware, but some players won't let you install this at all and even if the player allows you to downgrade, it's not a zero risk task. Also, who knows what version you'd need to get the hack working?
The best advice I can give you is that the days of buying a player in a store and unlocking it at home are long gone. They aren't coming back. If you need region free players in the future, the only safe thing to do is to buy from re-sellers who have modified the hardware to allow region free play. The cost is a little more to pay for the hardware, but at least you know they are region free. -
