My ISP has enabled BBCIplayer via the internet, but we've no way to view it apart from on the computer.
So I was reading Baldricks guide to capturing video with Firefox and download helper.
Was using YouTube as the source, and found when Download Helper is enabled in FF YouTube
reports an error and won't play. Disable it and it plays OK.
Anyone else get this too ? Any solution ?
Thanks
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Download helper wont work with bbicplayer.
You need something like rtmpexplorer. See https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/370092-Having-trouble-capturing-two-videos?highlight=bbci -
Thanks Baldrick. I see this needs IE, so have just installed IE 11 on a second machine and will study the links you gave and see how I get on. Can I expect this will also work for YouTube (as well a bbciplayer), or will I need something else for that?

Hey Baldrick, I think this assumes one knows more than I do !!
I downloaded rtmpexplorer and unzipped it to D:\rtmpexplorer .
Then, following instructions from aazerty, I copied rtmpdump.exe to D:\Videos and ran the batch file.
It seems to be very slowly getting the first .flv file with lots of resumes.
Assuming it (and the second one) complete, what do I do next ??
Which exe do I run, or none - just open iplayer in IE 11?
What are these flv files anyway ?
Thanks....
