DVDstyler hangs

My first use of DVDstyler(v2.9) has hung / frozen during transcode.
The progress bar is at about 40% and the Details pane is full of this :

[dvd @ 01a6e020] buffer underflow st=0 bufi=16169 size=19224

The last other meaningful Details before the buffer underflow messages was :

frame=22199 fps=6.2 q=2.0 size=    5898kB time=00:12:20.73 bitrate=  65.2kbits/s dup=3681 drop=0

The DVDstyler project configuration is to write an ISO on an external USB drive ... so it;s not clear to me why buffer underflow would matter.
I would think that buffer management issues only matter when writing / burning mefia (DVD).

What may have happened to cause DVDstyler to hang ?

Maybe try version 2.8.1
