newbie question about CyberLink Power Director 13:

Hello, brand newbie here,

I've been looking around and I am thinking of purchasing CyberLink Power Director 13.

I've been using Corel VS Pro X4 but there are some things it cannot do (play audio in edit mode during "project" playback; only during "clip" playback)

I need a video editor that offers audio playback at all times; not feeling so adventurous [yet anyhow] to download the entire trial and set up and running to simply verify if CLPD13 does do that.

Could anyone who's familiar with the program shed any light on it?

Maybe you should post your concern about Corel X4 in the Corel forum. I have not used that version but previous versions could certainly play your 'project' as it appears on the timeline. That is what any NLE can do.

As for Power Director, no idea. Some people here like it and some loath it.

Ok, thanks for that .. I'll seek out the forum you mentioned; though I've been on the official Corel VS Pro X4 forum with these issues and even there, tech support has not been able to resolve the problem. (appears to be some glitch .. many others reporting the same dilemma); but I'll check out the forum! thanks!
