  1. We have a Sony HDR-PJ810 and it records into both AVCHD and MP4. I need to copy movies to a PC via the USB cable. The folders that show up on computer only include the MTS files. The MP4 files are not visible. How do I find them? And yes, I did record in dual mode to both file formats.

The manual explains how to export MP4 files to smartphones wirelessly but I need to get them directly to a PC.

    Any suggestions?

  2. I don't have that camera, but which file types to transfer appears to be a menu-selectable item. Alternately, copy the entire card structure your computer (if you are using internal memory you may need to copy it to a card first) and look under /private/m4root/clip. (This info based on the file structure of similar sony cameras.)

  3. Looking at the specs for that camera it isn't clear if you can record to MP4 and AVCHD at the same time.

Should have looked at page 13 of the manual.

" In the default setting, movies are recorded with HD format and MP4
    format simultaneously (Dual Video REC)."
