Crop/Cut down part of a Video clip

Hi,
It's related with thread "Remove text from a DVD scrolling left to right".

Now I will try to cut down (or Crop) from the selected text scrolling part to the total bottom part, so whats the best soft I can do that?

And I want to add some text in the left-bottom corner like a music Video-

Text1 - XXXXX
Text1 - XXXXX
