    Hi are there any way I can encode my video to H265 on Solaris maby whit a gui I have try google but can it realy be true there are non or have my google skils lost me

    Maybe I'm wrong, but x265 should be (easily?-)compilable under Solaris:

    Well the first question is why on Earth would anyone want to use Solaris for this. It's owned by Oracle and went, no surprise, from open source to payware (except for development purposes).

    If you have a license you can certainly use command line tools but why on Earth would anyone develop a GUI for this?

    What hardware do you use and what version of Solaris do you have?

    3# good Question I know Solaris is not the obvious choice but that is because I running Solaris 11.2 on my Home server whit ZFS and and using Solaris to get the encrypting opportunity. no License just for non-commercial HW X9SCL-F whit a Xeon cpu and some ECC Ram can remember the CPU number can get it later if you like ?
