    Hello,
I had to extract the chapters.xml file along with the audio/video tracks from a dual audio movie, in order to remove the second audio track. However, MKVToolNix 7.5 won't allow me re re-add the chapters.xml file.
Is there some other way or program that will let me do that?
    Thanks very much.

Sounds like you aren't adding it properly, you need to add the xml file in the global tab chapter file, just browse for it and add it,if that doesn't work or you already tried that then there's an issue with your chapter file.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

Yes there is but it is not immediately obvious. Load you MKV file with audio and video into MkvMergeGui then navigate to the third tab along GLOBAL and 2/3rds down the page you will see Chapters and a browse button. Thats it and as long as the xml file is in the correct format it should work

Thanks very much for your input. Alas my MKVToolNix GUI does not have a Global tab. I searched for MKVMerge gui, but can only find mkvtoolnix. I guess I need a different version?

ok I found it - program called mmg.exe - who new? anyway, all is working well. thanks very much again.
ps. I guess I shouldn't even bother with mkvtoolnix-gui.exe since mmg.exe does the same and even more.
