Hi, first, sorry about my bad english

For some days i've been using handbrake to "burn" subtitles in mp4 videos, and i did it in 2 or 3 minutes (each video), i did it in a dedicated server, but today someone reinstalled handbrake and configurations were lost, and now when i try to encode a video it takes almost 30 minutes!

Can you tell me what's the best settings to "burn" subtitles? doesn't matters if video losses some of quality, thanks!

  2. Take one of your videos that you encoded before (in 2-3 minutes), open it with MediaInfo, text view and post that report here so we can see what settings were used before .

  3. Set the x264 preset slider all the way to the left.

If you were using custom settings Motion Estimation and Subpixel Motion Estimation are the settings that effect encoding speed the most.

Your Trellis setting can really slow things down, too.
