  3. Hi,
I'd like to know if it is possible to use the extracted font files directly from the project's temp folder when using hardcoded subtitles, instead of having to install them.

    Regards

Hi Guys. I have a problem with QTGMC. For SD recordings, it is working fine. But with HD recordings (pal) the targetfile is jerky. This is now for years like that, I don't know why. Any help is appreciated.

Don't blame StaxRip. Deserves a separate thread. And a lot more details.

    @Bob.Dig

The question is better asked in a dedicated thread as the topic is probably not specific to staxrip.

Much more details are needed, here is a guide:

So which template should I use to ask a question?

Yes. I did much more testing and it looks to be a problem of the source "filters" in the first place. I even couldn't find any which do work correctly.

This tool has so many options, but I wonder if I can concatenate and process an entire folder consisting of hundreds of files like:

    FileA.mp4+FileA2.mp4 = FileA.mp4
    FileB.mp4+FileB2.mp4 = FileB.mp4
    FileC.mp4+FileC2.mp4 = FileC.mp4

    And so on?

    > File1.mp4 + File2.mp4 = File.mp4

This is not a supported feature in staxrip. To batch process this you probably need a script. If you ask in a dedicated thread and have luck then maybe somebody writes a script for you.

Merging two files is a task that mkvmerge can easily do, after that it only has to be re-muxed to mp4, plain re-muxing with or without batch processing would be supported by staxrip.

I asked this in different places, I'm out of luck with that
Your application is great and I'll certainly use it for a lot of other processes.

Hello. I 'm trying to remux an mkv file to mp4 with staxrip. When the audio is DTS the process is smooth. However when the audio is Dolby True HD the process fails. Where should I enter the parameter -strict -2 . I can't figure it out. I 've tried at audio track's name but I still get the same message that TRUE-HD is experimental and I shall enter -strict -2.

I got a question regarding svpflow, there is an option core or MV. What is MV doing and what does the two next settings do, if you select MW.

    Hi everyone!

I've used staxrip in the past so i might be out of touch with its "inner workings" etc, still easy to use, no problems setting up conversions/filters/codec but whenever i try to export to prores (no problems with other formats) it stops and displays the following warning, is it a ffmpeg issue? I used staxrip ffmpeg build witthe the following script and it converted it:
    Code:
    ffmpeg -i Bebop2_20200503164701+0100.mp4 -vcodec prores -profile:v 3 -acodec pcm_s24le OUTPUT.mov
i could use ffmpeg on its own but i want to use the FFT3DFilter on this clip, staxrip stops with or without the filter enabled.

    Code:
    Error Video encoding ProRes (2.1.3.0)

Video encoding ProRes returned error exit code: 1 (0x1)

It's unclear what the exit code means, in case it's a Windows system error then it possibly means:

Is it not possible, that staxrip uses its own version of avisynth instead of the "global" one? Especially with Avisnyth+?

This is probably as possible as MeGUI does, IMHO.

AviSynth+ allows clearing plugin autoload directories, in case of any registered by a separately installed version, and adding application specific directories.

    Plugin Autoloader
    Code:
    ClearAutoloadDirs()
    AddAutoloadDir(string path, bool toFront)

MVTools2:MFlowFps should be compatible. And probably not much different...?

But you can't use a special AviSynth DLL just for one function. Only for a whole script. Means, would be a pity to surrender every advantage of AviSynth+ for just one incompatible plugin.

No, this time I meant SVP for MPC-HC, not in StaxRip.

So you mean ... you install legacy AviSynth globally to run SVP in MPC-HC, and StaxRip should use its own local AviSynth+ for its conversions. That may actually work.

It's fixed in the last beta.

    https://staxrip.readthedocs.io/introduction.html#download

I got a question regarding svpflow, there is an option core or MV. What is MV doing and what does the two next settings do, if you select MW.
I don't know, svpflow presets were not created by me.

I've used staxrip in the past so i might be out of touch with its "inner workings" etc, still easy to use, no problems setting up conversions/filters/codec but whenever i try to export to prores (no problems with other formats) it stops and displays the following warning, is it a ffmpeg issue? I used staxrip ffmpeg build witthe the following script and it converted it
According to the log it could be an issue with your avisynth setup. Maybe try again with the last beta, it could be fixed meanwhile, here your settings work.

    Or try:

Filters > Filter Setup > VapourSynth

The 2.1.3 ver. doesn't support Chinese?Oh,on~~It's very very inconvenient for Chinese...
    More details please.

Is it not possible, that staxrip uses its own version of avisynth instead of the "global" one? Especially with Avisnyth+?
It's kind of a mess, staxrip has its own avisynth version included and it works if avisynth is not installed, so staxrip is fully portable and does not require installing avisynth, vapoursynth or anything else. But if avisynth is installed then the installed avisynth version is used, there is not much I can do about this because of the way how avisynth and avisynth tools are designed. Currently, staxrip included avisynth 3.6.1 test 8 because it's more stable than 3.6.0 and if you have avisynth installed then you will need to copy the included 3.6.1 test 8 binary to the system32 folder because staxrip does not allow old avisynth versions because of compatibility issues, people who still want to use an old installed avisynth version need to remove the avisynth line in the file apps\versions.txt.

In my case, svp is used with avisynth without plus and is incompatible. So staxrip should use its own version, if possible.
Technically hardly possible for most avisynth tools as they don't support a custom avisynth location, other tools like megui might only use one or two avisynth tools which allow to use a custom avisynth path but staxrip supports about ten avisynth tools and only one (avs2pipemod) supports a custom avisynth path but so far staxrip don't utilize this avs2pipemod ability. Feel free to create an issue tracker request on github to support portable mode for avs2pipemod.

Thanks. I then will just use vapoursynth with staxrip, problem solved.

Lately (2.1.3.0) I had a problem with one DTS track. Encoding it with the Opus-preset made a horrible sounding track, tried it three times. Encoding it with the AAC-preset worked fine.

Have you tried this and saved as a template (autostart)?

You are right, it is the same here, always English the first track, even after I had removed "eng" completely.

Preferred Languages in the options dialog is what automatically gets demuxed.

What language will be detected and used is defined in the Language field of the audio dialog.
