    Hello everyone,
Newbie using ProjectX V 0.91.0 to demux MPEG2 TS files containing several audio streams and several SD video streams (French DVB-T captured by "Golden Media Multibox")

ProjectX demux all audio streams always and only one video stream despite the "Write all video data" selected in the Output tab of the Pre-settings dialog...

I am not competent enough to interpret all the messages contained into log ...

Is here a ProjectX user able to help me ?

    Many thanks in advance

Have a look in the ProjectX install folder on your PC for a file called X.ini It is a text file so you can simply select all copy and paste in a post here. This will show just what all your settings are.

I've been using ProjectX for about 7 years and certainly know about as far as Australian TV is concerned although we don't do multiple video transmissions so not much help there. If you post your ini file I'll have a look and see if anything stands out.

Alternatively if you speak German as well, then there is a ProjectX thread on the forum DVBTechnics http://forum.dvbtechnics.info/forumdisplay.php?f=16 the author used to hang out there.

Running Project X on a Macintosh, I don't find anywhere an "X.ini" file but into ProjectX folder, among all compilation files, I only have a "ProjectX Demux log" which seems the same thing that I have posted earlier... Important extracts concerning videostreams copied further...

I do not understand the reason for these messages "ignored" for videostreams other than the first one ...
Some ideas for new tests to do today (like changing input TS file name actually "000.ts")...

I had a G4 years ago but I'm afraid I don't remember where the MAC OS puts the ini file, it has to be there somewhere as it contains the selections you make under the Presettings tab. Could you make a screen shot of your Presettings Video tab ?

Also what are these extra video streams when you are watching TV? Next Monday I am visiting a friend who has a G5 and does have ProjectX so if I have a chance I will take a look.

I just see that, at startup, ProjectX give an "environment panel" into which it gives the X.ini path : just into ProjectX folder ... But unfortunately, I don't see any X.ini file into this folder ? Perhaps X.ini has "invisible status", I am going to search this way..

These extra videostreams are simply other TV channels... For french TNT (terrestrial Numeric Television), every 8 Mhz UHF channel contains till 6 MPEG2 SD muxed channels or 3 MPEG4 HD muxed channels...
I am posting 2 of my MPEG2 muxed sample files on Mega server and I'll post links here as soon as possible (rather big files : 0,43 and 1,2 GB)

UL finished : here are TS files DL links :

Thank you for the proposal, but ffmpeg is a binary under command line and I do not control it all enough to use it... It could be the very last solution for me... The only serious GUI I found on Macintosh for ffmpeg (iFFmpeg), if it scans well muxed streams does not seem to have accessible command "demux". But I have to deepen more ...

Note: For MPEG4 HD DVB-T mux : MKVToolnix Mac 7.1 seems to do the job very well ...

  10. The older tsmuxer (1.10.6) can demux all 6 (at least the windows version can, so the mac version should be able as well) . For some reason the newer versions (2.6.12) cannot

Strange, so strange... Must be the season of the witch ?

In fact, Demux operation succeed only with Win version 1.10.6 of tsMuxeR (not Mac 1.10.6) that I ran in a virtual Windows 7 on my Mac and produce all mpv and mpa files of channels contained into original DVB-T stream..

Same thing : to remux video and audio in MKV container, only old Mac version "MKVmerge 2.0" accept input files and produce a valid mkv file (with light audio video offset which can be corrected during mkv muxing). Last release of MKVToolnix does'nt accept these files as input : it seems made only for HD and MPEG4 since it runs good with DVB-T HD MPEG4 streams... World is abandoning SD for HD and soon, it will be looking only for H265 and UHD...

Anyway, thanks a lot to all people who has given to me time and ideas to help me in this thread to realize these unusuals conversions...

Another Windows program that also demuxes all the streams, albeit, one at a time is the demux tool in Womble. Demuxes and pops the video and audio track in the time line - save it and then back to demux tool and select the next one etc etc.. Glad to see it's sorted

I've not heard the expression "Must be the season of the witch ?" Must purloin it

It's a very old story (like me ) : I think your ears will know...

Thanks for Womble... I'll try it, because usually, I need only to keep one stream among the mux...
