    Hi all,
since the official Pale Moon builds dropped support for XP, I've downloaded the 3rd party build,
    linked to by them:
    http://binaryoutcast.com/software/projects/pm4xp/

It's working well, but I've seen a few quirks, for example, I've been unable to get the music samples to play
at Allmusic.com. Clicking on the play button does nothing, although it works normally in Firefox.

Palemoon for Atom (WinXP) from palemoon.org works just fine for me. However, same problem with allmusic. BTW, Seamonkey plays the music samples.

  3. I used Pale Moon on XP for awhile, then I start experiencing diff. problems and start using Orca-Browser and it's lighter & quicker. Except that do not render correctly on very few "heavy duty" web-site's like Twitter, etc.
...maybe 'cos the browser don't support "those few" site's anymore or maybe are my settings !?

    FYI:
Orca include his own add-on's. They are on Tools, etc.
Orca is an Avant-Browser sister with Mozilla's Gecko layout engine used in Firefox 3.

    Hope this help.

    From their website:

Why was Windows XP support discontinued by Pale Moon?
    http://www.palemoon.org/PM_end_of_WinXP_support.shtml

All these things make total sense to me!
XP is finished, time to move on!

And now people want to go through great hoops in order to stay on XP even when this OS is completely unsupported?

    Call me stupid!

That's no fair with the call me stupid request. I'm only human.....

How is XP completely unsupported when it says right in the info you linked to:
Unlike its sibling Firefox, that will continue to offer Windows XP as a supported operating system.....

Chrome, SeaMonkey, Firefox, Safari.... all still support XP.

We get it. You have some odd bias against anything that's not the latest and greatest, which probably wouldn't be too bad if expressing that opinion wasn't always accompanied by a silly picture and followed with a smiley, but do you really think you yelling your opinion suddenly made the OP aware of the pros and cons of upgrading XP, or not, to which he/she was up until now completely oblivious?

I use XP 'cos it's in my smallest computer & goes with me on my backpack.

Also, I want the lightest browser 'cos sometimes I connect to a weak Wi-Fi signal. Even that Tor never fail; since it connect to a diff. networks, not only to the one I'm "real" connected.

    On the another hand:
I bet that very few people own just one computer.
    I have 5.

    Just saying.

Thanks for the responses. Pale Moon does offer a compatibility setting in options/advanced general tab, but I checked it
and it was already set. As was mentioned, the official Pale Moon dropped support for XP, but the unofficial build is by somebody
who recompiled it with "safe" options, appropriate for XP.

Might have been interesting to send a message to the site @ binaryoutcast.com to see if the author might have an idea
why Allmusic was not working but I've not been able to find a contact address nor a forum.

PS I maintain a couple of older PC's, one of them dual booted with Linux (and XP). I have installed KDEnlive
    and am currently investigating...
