I have this video card, with two monitors hooked up to it with DVI cables. The card also has a mini HDMI port. If I connect an HDTV to that port, what will happen? Will the TV act as a third display, just as the second monitor does? I'd like to know if this will work before I go buy a TV and HDMI cable.

It generally depends on the chipset.
EVGA's website says you can use three monitors with this card. -
I'm not sure now, because EVGA responded to me and said only two monitors at a time. I could have all 3 connected, but would have to choose 2 to display in windows.

Seems like they advertise it supports 3 monitors. What they do not say is that you need SLI for that. :/
With a single card you can only have two monitors.
Take a look at that forum. -
It's ok, for my needs, I can simply switch to the third one when needed. I think it will be alright.....Except now I have to figure out if audio will come with that video signal.

I believe it does.
