I have been using CapWiz and DVD Express DX2 for several years with my Windows XP computer. I recently updated with Windows 7 and found that the USB drivers are not correct. An internet search for ADS help has not been successful. Programs to update drivers that are available on the net look too suspicious to turn them loose on my machine.
Can anyone help me obtain the proper drivers?
Thank you

ADS is defunct and their website no longer exists.
Researching similar posts to yours at VideoHelp revealed that there is more than one version of the DVD Express DX2 device. Some did not get drivers beyond Windows XP. If you are lucky, you may find useful information at: https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/326217-Need-ads-tech-s-Capwiz-program-cant-access-website -
Thank you for the response. The situation does not look good for CapWiz in Windows 7. Fortunately for me, I am keeping my old computer with Windows XP as a spare. Running Windows 7 in XP compatibility mode doesn’t work well, and installing XP as a dual OS with Windows 7 would be overkill for me considering that I will ALWAYS have a Windows XP spare.
The DVD Express DX2 is a nice piece of hardware. By doing the conversion in hardware and removing the work from the CPU it does jobs that other hardware will not. Having converted all my VHS tapes to digital, I have little use for it anymore.
Thanks again. -

hi! did you ever mess with the settings of Capwiz? I want to mess with the brightness, color, etc. Do you remember how to set them optimally?
