Veedub Capture audio meter pegged at -20 dB no sound from speakers

Well it was working just fine then... I'm using a advc-110 firewire input from vcr. Audio meter pegged at -20 dB no sound from speakers.

And if I capture using VLC or WMM I have sound and video, but the files won't open in Avidemux. Black screen in Veedub OK screen capture is

causing that.

Any idea what's going on here? I reinstalled windows and no anti-virus installed. Still no luck, Thanks
