Newbie looking to convert .ac3 +.m2v files Which prog best?

Im a newbie. I have .m2v files and .ac3 files. I want to author and burn these files to dvd. Ive heard and read up on video pack 5. Im not sure if that is what im looking for. Im just looking for the simplist way to convert these files to a dvd r with no menus, subtitles, languages, or any fancy stuff. I just want to be able to go from track one to all the other tracks and back as chapters. What is the simpliest program I should get to accomplish. Im a newbie and not looking to do anything fancy. I am looking for a similar soloutiong for this. I'm trying to author in reeldvd. so it will automaticly convert wav and pcm i believe to ac3 when added to the project. my problem is when i do a simple demultiplex. i dont know how to get the m2v file into a wav file. i've tried flask on the original avi file and the video from the tmpeg mutliplex. i can import both into my project. however horrible audio sync problems. i guess that was to be expected.
