  1. Hi everyone,

I emailed Baldrick, the super moderator, to make sure it was okay to post this here and he said it was fine.

I have a site up with free music that you can use in commercial projects, non-commercial, personal, whatever you like. It's all original...all my own work. All I ask is to be credited as indicated on my homepage:

    http://soundimage.org/

I sincerely hope my tracks are helpful. Any and all feedback is welcome and always appreciated.

    All the best,
    Eric

  16. Eric, can you tell us a little about how you do this? Is it synthesized? Multiple tracks like 'Peter, Paul & Mary' did it? I can say it's well done and very much appreciated.

Thanks for listening to my work...I really appreciate it!

I work with a dedicated synthesizer (meaning a keyboard) that can produce all kinds of sounds and enables me to create new ones. As I play, I record into my computer using a program called Sonar that lets me build, edit and mix tracks. It's actually a very simple setup.

I hope that answers your question. Again, thanks for giving my music a listen!

Eric, are you the blind guy?

I was getting free music a few years ago from a guy that had a Roland keyboard. Do you know that guy? I lost touch with him when I started using Ableton. Your music sounds a lot like him.

Have you heard of Mehdi? Listen to "Steps To Paradise", and see if the changes give you inspiration to go to the next level. Yeah, I like your music, not criticizing.

Nope...and nope. Don't know either of them.

Thanks for checking out my work, though.

    You're very welcome!

    Happy New Year everyone!

I've begun the process of creating looping versions of my Fantasy and Sci-Fi tracks, starting with the oldest ones. The links to download the looping versions appear right under the original versions.

I hope this will be especially helpful to my game developer friends! If you happen to want any of my newer tracks looped immediately, send me an email and I'll see what I can do.

For those of you who don't know, I post daily updates of new tracks here:
    https://www.facebook.com/soundimage.org
    https://twitter.com/EricMatyas

And playlists of my tracks are here:
    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6m...Gy-A/playlists

    This week's new releases are:

“Moonlight Flying”_Looping (on the Fantasy Page)
    http://soundimage.org/fantasywonder/

“The Darkness Below”_Looping (on the Sci-Fi/Space page)
“World of Automatons”_Looping (on the Sci-Fi/Space Page)
“Once Around the Solar System” (on the Sci-Fi/Space Page)
    http://soundimage.org/sci-fi/

“The 8-Bit Princess” (on the Looping Music Page)
    http://soundimage.org/looping-music/

    All the best,

    Eric

  27. Hi everyone,

I had to split up some of my genres (like Fantasy) so they now span multiple pages. This was done in order to improve performance of the site and (hopefully) make hunting for tracks a bit more manageable. If you have any problems finding anything, just let me know.

That said, this week's new tracks are:

“Vast Places” (on the Quiet/Peaceful/Mellow Page)
    http://soundimage.org/quiet-peaceful-mellow/

“They’re Closing In” (on the Dark/Ominous Page)
    http://soundimage.org/dark-ominous/

“Surreal Chase"_Looping (on the Fantasy Page)
“Bedtime Story”_Looping (on the Fantasy Page)
    http://soundimage.org/fantasywonder/

“The Creeping Blob”_Looping (on the Sci-Fi/Space page)
“Security Breach”_Looping (on the Sci-Fi/Space page)
    http://soundimage.org/sci-fi/

Daily announcements of new tracks here:

    Hi Eric,

I've had a quick listen around your site and so far I like what I hear!
Have bookmarked it for future reference.
If I may make a suggestion, it would be nice if you showed the duration of each track in the title, so you don't have to click the play bar on every track.
For those of us (me ) who search for music based purely on duration (to fit specific length video clips).

Cheers, and thanks very much for your generous contributions!

You're very welcome...and great suggestion...the running times now appear at the end of the descriptions.
