  1. I've been having this horrible problem with about 5 of my movies that I have been trying to encode. I use TMPGEnc to encode all of my movies and it works well on them except a few. When I try to start encoding certain movies, an error message pops up and says that an error occured when the audio was decoded. I've tried about everything to try to get it to work but I still can't figure out how to fix the problem. If anyone out there can help or knows what is wrong, I would greatly appreciate the information. Thanks.

  4. I have had a lot of trouble with TMPGEnc audio encoder. I suggest using an external audio encoder (ie besweet) and then multiplexing the audio and video back together. You may need to add a delay as well.

  5. I've got the same problem now i figured it out what the problem is,the bitrate of your divx is not standard(112 128 160) only i have not figured out how to change it i've got one that is i think you got to rip the audio with virtual dub the change it with an audio program (cool edit) the put it back and then convert it it's a lot of work but i think it will work.

Mabey there are converting programs out there that don't have troubles with bitrate but i've not found them yet.

Excuse me for my bad english but i'm from the Netherlands. That explanes alot!!!

  6. If you got the same problem as me(wrong bitrate) then ive got the solution tried it out myself.

Rip the audio with virtual dub----load the ripped audio(wav) into cool edit ----save as mp3 128 kbits/sec-----open tmpgenc video source = the original movie, audio source = youre saved mp3.

Burn it - watch it - enjoy it

  7. Thanks everyone for your help with this problem. I finally found a program that fixes the problem. Its callled avi audio decompressor and it decompresses the audio so TMPGEnc can encode it.

you're going through one unnecessary step...you can just use the .wav file as the audio source in TMPG
