  1. Hi. Using MakeMkv, I've converted a DVD to an MKV file (I no longer have the DVD). I'd like to extract the subtitle file and use it as a guide to make new subtitles. Is there a program that can do this? I tried MKVtools 2.1 and it complained about the MKV file and would then do nothing. Hopefully there is something better.

  2. Thanks. I managed to find it and download it, though, unfortunately not from here or the developers site. I've now got a very large sub file and having to deal with that. But, the program does what I asked and now I just have to sort my subtitle editor out and everything should work. Thanks again.

  4. The sub file type is turning out to be a problem. None of the subtitle editors I've tried (Jubler, Aegisub, Subsfactory) can open the file. Does anyone know a Mac program that can read that file type? TIA.
